A living history museum reflecting the settlement and development of Southern California from the Civil War to the early 20th Century, Heritage Square Museum offers visitors a look into the everyday lives of Southern Californians at the close of the 19th Century.

Guided tours of the museum are supplemented by special events, such as Museums of the Arroyo Day®, which take our guests back in time to the era where electricity was a novelty, a trip to the beach was often a full-weekend activity, and manners were distinctly different from those of today.

From the simplicity of the Octagon House to the opulence of the Perry Mansion, the Museum provides a unique look at the lifestyles of the people who contributed so much to the development of modern Los Angeles and Southern California. See how architecture not only reflected their personalities, but in many ways help define their societies.

Heritage Square Museum is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and most holiday Mondays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Hours vary from October to March. On Saturday and Sunday, guided tours depart hourly (12 to 3 p.m.) from the Palms Depot.
No admittance after the final tour has departed. The museum is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

ADMISSION
Adults: $10, Seniors: $8, Children, ages 6 to 12: $5. Museum members and children under 6 admitted free of charge.
