Not only do we always list our Spirited Woman events in it and have pulled great results - but it is my own weekly "whats-going-on" bible, and I personally don't make a plan before checking the listings." - Nancy Mills Founder, Spirited Woman

This Is Your Opportunity To Be A Hero
Canoga Park, CA – Community Beautification Project.
Ask not what your community can do for you, but what you can do for your community. You can help firefighters, and save lives, by making fire hydrants easier to spot. Want to know how?
You can be one of the lucky 192 volunteers to make a difference in your community: April 22, 2017 starting at 8:00 a.m - Canoga Park Community Center - the old Fire Station 72 at 7248 Owensmouth Avenue, Canoga Park. Participants should come dressed in work clothes and be ready to prep and paint the life-saving fire hydrants of Canoga Park.
At 11:30am you can enjoy a complimentary lunch while socializing with other participants from the LAFD Cadets and Firefighters, LAPD Cadets and Officers, local Churches of all faiths, and groups and citizens from all walks of life.
Proud sponsors of this event are the Canoga Park Neighborhood Council, Department of Water & Power, Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles Police Department , Home Depot, Canoga Park High School, and Office of Councilmember Bob Blumenfield, Los Angeles City Council, Third District. We are delighted with the outpouring of generosity from local organizations for supplies and delicious food.
To reserve your spot and make a difference, contact Martin Furtak or Corine Ho at firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com. High school students who participate can earn community service hours too! An instructional video is available on YouTube for volunteers to view in advance at bit.ly/cpnc17en
