Cal State LA’s College of Ethnic Studies is hosting a multicultural book fair that features stories rooted in cultural and ethnic communities—and aims to inspire children to rediscover the fun of reading.
The multicultural book fair, “I Read to See Me—A Celebration of Multicultural Children's Books,” is free and open to the public and will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the courtyard of King Hall on the campus of Cal State LA. The university is inviting children, families and educators to take part in the book-filled day of fun.
The day will include panel discussions, exhibitors, publishing professionals and giveaways. Cal State LA faculty, staff and students will lead reading circles and other activities during the book fair.
