TELL YOUR FRIENDS

Stories From The Frontline is a series of events and efforts designed to educate residents in Los Angeles about the importance of Support Services and Housing as a critical part of the solution to address the homeless crisis. During these events formerly homeless men and women use storytelling, spoken word and music to tell their powerful and inspiring stories of resilience. The initiative founded by homeless advocates Marilyn Wells and Allison Schallert uses this platform to highlight local nonprofit organizations and encourage the local community to get involved. In Partnership with United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ EVERYONE IN campaign, Stories From The Frontline is going neighborhood by neighborhood with these storytelling events throughout Los Angeles in an effort to change the stigma of homeless housing so that residents actively welcome Supportive Housing proposals and are motivated to lend a hand in the effort.
