MOVING PARTS FILM FESTIVAL (MPFF) ANNOUNCES 2018 FESTIVAL DATES
LOS ANGELES, CA – August 31, 2018 – Chrysalis Pictures© today announced their official selections for the Moving Parts Film Festival© (MPFF) which will take place September 14 – 15th 2018 in Los Angeles, California. Returning for its second year, MPFF brings together artist-driven filmmakers whose independent films and web series address some of today’s most important social justice issues from all over the world.
In response to the 2016 election, the Moving Parts Film Festival was created by Chrysalis Pictures with a focus on social justice filmmaking in mind. In 2017 the festival brought together 25 filmmakers who were given the topic challenges of social justice; four original film categories: Women’s Rights, LGBTQ, Prison Reform, and Immigration. This year the film festival has opened itself to a wider audience by becoming Hollywood’s International Social Justice Film and Web Series Festival featuring the best in the international content creation and providing a safe place for artists to develop into better visionary filmmakers.
The 2018 Official Selections represent the best of International Independent Film from over 15 countries including works from Academy-Award Nominated Artists and Filmmakers. Themes of this years festival include: LGBTQ, Female Directed, Celebrating Emerging Filmmakers of Color, International Short Films, Prison Reform, Mental Health, and Environment.

Founded in 2017 by UCLA TFT Alumni Monica Quinn and Adam Fried. Moving Parts Film Festival is a program of Chrysalis Pictures a Los Angeles based 501(c)3 Non Profit Production Company that focuses on creating groundbreaking original works to have a deeper understanding of all cultures and people. Within the safehaven of Chrysalis Pictures, a collective of diverse artists explore personal truths to elevate the beauty of perseverance and use their creativity to propel change.
