OzCon International 2018

August 10-12, 2018

Friday 10am-10:30pm; Saturday 9am-10:30pm; Sunday 10am-3pm

Kellogg West Conference Center & Hotel (on the Cal Poly campus)
3801 West Temple Avenue, Pomona, CA 91768

The 54th annual OzCon celebrates all aspects of the Wizard of Oz phenomenon with Oz enthusiasts from around the world.

Special guests at OzCon 2018 include Aljean Harmetz, author of The Making of the Wizard of Oz, the ground-breaking book on the creation of the 1939 MGM film classic; James Ortiz, creator of the Obie Award-winning off-Broadway play The Woodsman whose amazing puppetry tells how the Tin Woodman of Oz was created; and film historian Andy Mangels, who will share details on Filmation’s 1974 feature film Journey Back to Oz. OzCon 2018 also welcomes Robert Payes, son of original Oz series author Rachel Cosgrove Payes, who wrote The Hidden Valley of Oz and The Wicked Witch of Oz. And on Saturday only, OzCon will be joined by Barry Bregman, the grandson of actor Jack Haley, who portrayed the Tin Woodman in MGM’s 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, and Christianna Rickard, niece of actor and dancer Ray Bolger, who portayed the Scarecrow in the same classic film.

All three days of OzCon 2018 will be filled with activities and presentations. Programming includes presentations on The Tin Woodman of Oz by L. Frank Baum, as the book celebrates its 100th birthday in 2018. Purchase rare Oz treasures in the Dealers Room and the International Wizard of Oz Club auction. Learn what new Oz books and films will soon be heading your way. Get your Cozplay on for the Oz Masquerade on Saturday morning with prizes for the best costumes. OzCon 2018 features the usual Oz quizzes, Awards Banquet, parties, and Oz camaraderie. And more! All of this is included with a 3-day pass, which grants attendance for the three days of OzCon. Single day passes are also available.

3-day passes: $135 adult; $50 child (4-11); Under 3 free
