Mychal's Learning Place invites local residents to participate in its first-ever California Great Santa Stroll to raise much-needed funds for its programs. The Stroll is part of a world competition for the most “Santas” gathered in one location in which participants across the country dress up as Santas to raise funds for local organizations.

On Saturday, December 14 beginning at 9:30 a.m., Santa Strollers can head to Hermosa Beach Pier to begin the walk. Participants are encouraged to jazz up their Santa suit and experience this holiday cheer. The event is run, walk or even roll – for our friends in strollers and/or wheelchairs. The big man himself, Jolly Old Saint Nick, will fly in from the North Pole to officiate! In addition to the stroll, the event will feature a variety of other holiday activities and delights, including Santa's village, treats from Mykie's Bakery & Coffee Truck, Kinecta’s ice cream truck, kids’ zone areas with various craft stations, merchant and food vendors, and many more fun things to do.

The California Great Santa Stroll is open to children, adults and canines. To participate, interested Santa strollers can visit www.mychals.org to register. Fees to register range between $15 - $45 and Kinecta Federal Credit Union Members are eligible for a discount.

The event will benefit Mychal's Learning Place, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, dedicated to optimizing the potential of youth and young adults with developmental disabilities, including autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.
