SAKYONG MIPHAM RINPOCH, is the global leader of Shambhala Meditation and REV. ANGEL KYODO WILLIAMS who has been called “the most intriguing African-American Buddhist” by Library Journal will present a workshop in Pasadena.
This experiential day-long event will explore questions and mindful listening from the heart practice.
• With increasing divisiveness and polarization in our world, they will help people understand how conversation can build bridges.
• Can genuine human connection heal the isolation and loneliness in our current culture?
• Listening is the first step in good conversation, helping us connect. By truly listening to others, we increase our own intelligence, broadening our understanding of social reality and thus our ability to help. But with the distraction and noise in our world, how do we know who or what to listen to?
In the afternoon at 5 pm, a panel featuring special guest speakers will explore these ideas. Tickets are available for the entire day or for the panel only.
