On Thursday, March 25, 7:00pm, Benita Bike’s DanceArt presents an online interactive dance event - “Let’s Talk Dance” - that delights and inspires. This FREE performance is funded, in part, by the California Arts Council, the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Cultural Affairs, and Los Angeles Mission College AGS Honor Society. Watch dances and talk with us about the “why” and the “how.” To attend, register at: www.danceart.org/March25.
Benita Bike’s DanceArt is a chamber modern dance company that receives praise for its beautiful, polished concert work and its extensive community outreach programming. Like a string quintet, the dancers of Benita Bike’s DanceArt perform with uncommon sensitivity to one another, bringing intense beauty and vibrancy to each delicately crafted, expressive movement. During its 40 years, the Company has performed throughout California, New England, the Southwest, and in Europe.
The Company will present “Benches,” a dance that takes you into a park for a day to people-watch and imagine the lives of people alone, in pairs, and in groups. Also on the program will be “Entrelazadas.” Entrelazadas means "entwined" or "interlaced" in Spanish. This classical dance delicately traces the relationships of three women with musical accompaniment composers Juan del Enzina, Gaspar Sanz, and Joaquin Rodrigo.
