March Field Air Museum is proud to participate in a series of “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day” community events happening on Saturday, March 24, 2018, by hosting an Open House that is complimentary for all military veterans and their families. Beginning at 11:30 a.m., the Open House at March Field Air Museum will follow a Patriotic Ceremony being held at the nearby Amphitheater at Riverside National Cemetery. The special Open House will include complimentary refreshments and camaraderie in a special area of the Museum. In addition, all guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the Museum until closing.
As background, “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day” is a nationwide effort that recognizes the men and women who were denied a proper welcome upon returning home more than 40 years ago, and also honors the sacrifices made by Vietnam veterans and their families.

Along with friendly docents, numerous exhibits and more than 80 military aircraft on display, the Museum grounds include a Heritage Courtyard featuring the Freedom Wall, Distinguished Flying Cross National Memorial, West Coast War Dog Memorial, 15th Air Force Wall, and the P-38 Lightning Memorial.
