This month, we’re supporting Katsu Sando as our neighborhood restaurant partner and donating a proceed of our ticket sales to Las Fotos Project a youth mentorship program inspiring girls through mentorship and the power of photography to explore identity, community, and careers.
Please join us in celebrating, and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities and independent filmmakers, artists, and creatives, while re-energizing Chinatown, supporting neighborhood restaurants, and giving back to those affected by COVID 19.
As part of our short film program, we will be hearing the stories of four runners fueling their passions at the intersection of creativity and sports with photographer Lloyd Pursall's To Live and go In LA and getting a look at íMilky Way's first space telenovela! A Tijuana-Set short Sci-Fi drama Featuring an Eye Patch-Wearing Alien Akyra and her two trusted warriors — all in otherworldly purple pastel fashion.
In addition, we will be shining a light on various subcultures through the lens of photographer Amina Cruz and getting a glimpse of our community partner, Las Fotos Project 1o years of archival images taken by their students/ mentees.
Our feature film will be The Love Witch by Anna Biller. With a visual style that pays tribute to Technicolor thrillers of the ‘60s, THE LOVE WITCH explores female fantasy and the repercussions of pathological narcissism.
