Not only do we always list our Spirited Woman events in it and have pulled great results - but it is my own weekly "whats-going-on" bible, and I personally don't make a plan before checking the listings." - Nancy Mills Founder, Spirited Woman

Shakespeare by the Sea presents Impro Theatre’s SHAKESPEARE UNSCRIPTED.

High energy improvisation celebrating the genius of Shakespeare. Part of Shakespeare by the Sea's 2010 seaons.

Using only their guts, wits and suggestions from the audience the actors create a completely original story for each performance. Monarchs, spirits, warriors, lovers, fools or clowns - no one knows what role he, or she, may be asked to play when stepping out to improvise. This expert team of actors brings heightened language, robust physicality, and improvisational wit to the stage.

“DEATH DEFYING…The theatrical equivalent of circus aerialists...” -- LA Times

“GO. The wit, charm, energy and creativity on display are delightful and entertaining.” -- LA Weekly

Proceeds from SHAKESPEARE UNSCRIPTED support Shakespeare by the Sea’s free outdoor performances.  Full production schedules, locations and further information can be found on our website.
